Accountant

We are looking for an Accountant to join our team at Metamind Systems Pvt. Ltd. to manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets. This is a Software Development organization.

Accountant responsibilities include auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements and calculating tax payments and returns. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with bookkeeping and a flair for spotting numerical mistakes.

Ultimately, you will provide us with accurate quantitative information on financial position, liquidity and cash flows of our business, while ensuring we’re compliant with all tax regulations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1)     Manage all accounting transactions.

2)     Publish financial statements in time.

3)     Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings.

4)     Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.

5)     Ensure timely bank payments.

6)     Compute taxes and prepare tax returns.

7)     Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements.

8)     Audit financial transactions and documents.

9)     Comply with financial policies and regulations.

10)  Monitoring the efficiency of existing accounting procedures and ensuring they comply with the government regulations.

11)  Reviewing financial documents to resolve any discrepancies and irregularities.

Requirements and skills

·       Minimum 2 years work experience as an Accountant.

·       Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

·       Hands-on experience with accounting software Tally.

·       Advanced MS Excel skills.

·       Experience with general ledger functions and Taxation.

·       Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills

·       B.Com mandatory.

·       Post-Graduation is preferred.
