Reporting To: Finance Manager / Accounts Head
The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring statutory compliance, and supporting management with timely financial reports. The role requires strong accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and adherence to internal controls and deadlines.
Maintain books of accounts including journal entries, ledgers, and vouchers
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable
Reconcile bank statements, cash books, and vendor accounts
Manage GST compliance including returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, reconciliation)
Assist in TDS calculation, deduction, and return filing
Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
Support audits by providing required data and documentation
Monitor expenses and assist in budget preparation
Coordinate with internal departments and external consultants as required
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and taxation
Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, Busy, Zoho, or similar)
Working knowledge of MS Excel and financial reporting
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to meet deadlines and work independently
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance
CA Inter / CMA Inter preferred (not mandatory)
1 to 4 years of relevant accounting experience
Experience in GST and statutory compliance is mandatory
Strong ethical standards and confidentiality
Good communication and coordination skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
