Reporting To: Project Manager / Director / Accounts Head
The Civil Engineer-cum-Accountant will be responsible for site engineering coordination as well as basic accounting, billing, and cost control activities related to construction projects. The role requires balancing technical supervision with financial record-keeping to ensure projects are executed efficiently and within budget.
Supervise day-to-day construction activities at site
Ensure work execution as per drawings, specifications, and quality standards
Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and site staff
Prepare and verify quantity measurements and work progress reports
Monitor material usage and site inventory
Assist in planning project schedules and tracking progress
Ensure compliance with safety norms and site regulations
Maintain site-level accounts and records
Prepare contractor bills, client bills, and work-order summaries
Record expenses, purchase bills, petty cash, and payments
Track project costs and assist in budget control
Maintain material reconciliation and stock registers
Coordinate with head office accounts team for monthly reports
Assist in GST-related documentation (purchase/sales data, invoices, etc.)
Support audit and documentation requirements
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering
Additional qualification or working knowledge in Accounting / Tally / ERP preferred
Strong understanding of construction methods and site operations
Basic to intermediate accounting knowledge
Proficiency in MS Excel; knowledge of Tally/ERP is an advantage
Ability to read drawings and prepare measurements
Good coordination and communication skills
Attention to detail and record-keeping accuracy
Ability to work independently at site
1–3 years of experience in construction site supervision and accounting
Experience in real estate, infrastructure, or contracting firms preferred
Combination of site and office work
May require extended hours based on project requirements
