Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Bookkeeping & Records: Maintain accurate financial records for online transactions, including sales, refunds, and payment gateways.

• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Track vendor payments, customer invoices, and reconcile online payment systems (PayPal, Razorpay, Stripe, etc.).

• Marketplace Sales Data Entry (Tally ERP):

  • Record gross sales, commissions, shipping charges, GST/TCS, and net settlements from marketplaces.

  • Create and manage ledgers for Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, and other platforms in Tally ERP.

  • Perform reconciliation between marketplace reports and bank statements.

• Tax Compliance: Prepare and file GST/VAT returns, ensure compliance with digital sales tax regulations.

• Financial Analysis: Generate reports on revenue, expenses, and profitability; forecast trends for management.

• Auditing & Reconciliation: Perform bank reconciliations, audit online transactions.

• Technology Integration: Use accounting software Tally integrated with e-commerce platforms

Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software, Excel, and ERP systems.

• E-commerce Knowledge: Familiarity with online marketplaces (Amazon, Flipkart) and payment gateways.

• Analytical Ability: Strong numerical skills and ability to interpret financial data.

• Compliance Awareness: Knowledge of tax laws, digital invoicing, and regulatory requirements.

• It is a Full Time Accountant job for candidates with 1 - 5 years of experience.
