Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Recording Financial Transactions

• Day-to-day data entry of purchase, sales, receipts, payments, credit notes, debit notes, etc.

• Ensuring accurate ledger postings.

• Maintaining Ledgers & Books of Accounts

• Creating and managing ledgers for customers, suppliers, banks, expenses, income, and statutory accounts.

• Inventory Management (if applicable)

• Tracking stock, goods movement, opening and closing balances.

• Setting up item master, stock groups, stock categories, units of measurement.

• Bank Reconciliation

• Matching bank statement with company books through the bank reconciliation feature in Tally.

• Generating Reports

• Balance Sheet

• Profit & Loss Account

• Trial Balance

• Cash/Bank Book

• Day Book, Sales Register, Purchase Register, GST Reports, etc.

• GST Compliance

• Recording GST-compliant transactions.

• Filing GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9 via Tally.

• Reconciling Input Tax Credit (ITC).

• Payroll Accounting (if assigned)

• Managing employee salary, PF, ESI deductions, and generating payroll reports using Tally Payroll.

• Tax Compliance

• TDS entries and generating TDS reports and returns.

• Income tax provision entries (if applicable).

• Period Closing Activities

• Finalizing accounts at month-end, quarter-end, or financial year-end.

• Generating and exporting financial statements for audit.

• It is a Full Time Accountant job for candidates with 1 - 2 years of experience.
