Job Description: Junior Accountant

Role Overview

We are looking for an ambitious and meticulous Junior Accountant to support our finance department. You will be responsible for maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with the preparation of financial reports. This role is a great opportunity to learn from senior professionals and grow within the accounting field.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Entry: Accurately record daily financial transactions in the accounting software (Tally, Zoho, etc.).

• Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, follow up on pending payments from clients, and ensure vendors are paid on time.

• Bank Reconciliation: Match bank statements with internal ledgers to ensure all entries are accounted for.

• Voucher Management: Prepare and maintain physical and digital copies of payment vouchers, receipts, and supporting documents.

• Tax Support: Assist Senior Accountants in preparing data for GST, TDS, and other tax filings.

• Expense Tracking: Review and process employee expense claims and petty cash disbursements.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, or Finance.

• Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of Tally Prime or similar accounting software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables).

• Conceptual Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Golden Rules of Accounting and Double-Entry bookkeeping.

• Attention to Detail: High accuracy in data entry to avoid financial discrepancies.

Experience Requirements

• Experience: 0–2 years (Freshers with a strong internship background are welcome to apply).

• It is a Full Time Accountant job for candidates with Freshers.
