Position Summary:
The Account Assistant supports the accounting department by performing daily administrative and financial tasks. The role involves maintaining records, preparing documents, assisting with audits, and ensuring accurate financial processes.
Assist with day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping tasks.
Prepare and maintain financial records, invoices, bills, and receipts.
Enter data into accounting software and update financial databases.
Assist in preparing monthly and annual financial reports.
Support the senior accountant in reconciliations of accounts.
Handle vendor payments and follow up on outstanding invoices.
Maintain proper filing and documentation for all accounting records.
Help with payroll processing when required.
Assist with internal and external audits.
Ensure confidentiality and compliance with company policies.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work under supervision and meet deadlines.
