Accountant

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team in Salt Lake, Sector V, Kolkata. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in accounting for steel and cement trading or related industries, with a strong command over Tally, GST filing, and day-to-day financial entries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS) regularly.

• Handle GST filing, returns, and compliance as per statutory deadlines.

• Maintain accurate sales and purchase entries in Tally.

• Manage ledger entries, journal vouchers, and other accounting records.

• Coordinate with the internal team and vendors for invoice and payment-related queries.

• Assist with monthly closing and financial reporting.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in steel, cement, or trading industries.

• Proficiency in Tally ERP, GST, and general accounting principles.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Working knowledge of MS Excel and Word.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.
