Accountant

• Maintain and update financial records, ledgers, and journals.

• Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and ensure accuracy of financial data.

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow).

• Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.

• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting.

• Support budgeting and forecasting activities.

• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax regulations, and internal controls.

• Prepare and submit tax returns, VAT/GST filings, and other regulatory reports.

• Collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits.

• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.

• Maintain confidentiality of financial information and safeguard company assets.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA/CA/ACCA qualification preferred).

• Proven work experience as an Accountant (X–Y years depending on level).

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).

• Advanced MS Excel and data analysis skills.

• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
