Accountant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Mid-Level Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax compliance. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent analytical skills who can manage multiple tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain financial statements, reports, and records.

• Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy in financial data.

• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Manage accounts payable and receivable functions.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights for financial decision-making.

• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.

• Maintain general ledger and journal entries.

• Assist with tax preparation and filing, including GST and TDS compliance.

• Ensure timely and accurate GST and TDS calculations, deductions, and filings.

• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

• Continuously improve accounting processes and systems.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate setting.

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar platforms).

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.

• Experience with GST and TDS calculations and compliance.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• High attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
