Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations of the hospital. The candidate should have experience in accounting, cash management, bank reconciliations, record verification, and administrative financial work. The role requires maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring proper control over cash and banking transactions.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain day-to-day accounting records and books of accounts.
Prepare and update Cash Book, Bank Book, and Ledger entries.
Verify hospital billing slips, receipts, vouchers, and supporting documents.
Monitor and account for daily cash collections and expenses.
Perform Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS) regularly.
Reconcile cash, debit/credit card transactions, and payment gateway collections.
Verify patient receipts, OPD/IPD collections, and related records.
Process payment vouchers and maintain expense records.
Coordinate with banks for deposits, withdrawals, and other banking activities.
Maintain proper filing and documentation of accounting records.
Support statutory audits, internal audits, and compliance requirements.
Handle basic administrative and financial tasks as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
B.Com / M.Com or equivalent qualification.
Minimum 5–10 years of accounting experience.
Experience in hospital, healthcare, NGO, or charitable institution accounting will be preferred.
Good knowledge of Tally Prime, MS Excel, and accounting principles.
Understanding of bank reconciliation, cash management, and voucher verification.
Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
Desired Skills
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and record-keeping abilities.
Knowledge of GST, TDS, and basic taxation will be an added advantage.
Ability to handle cash transactions and financial documentation responsibly.
