Job Description: Accountant

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting tasks, maintain accurate financial records, and support the organization’s financial operations. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, knowledge of accounting principles, and proficiency in accounting software.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update books of accounts (Ledger, Cash Book, Journals, Vouchers).

• Prepare and verify financial statements such as Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account, and Cash Flow Statements.

• Handle accounts payable and receivable.

• Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial transactions.

• Prepare GST returns, TDS returns, and assist in statutory compliance.

• Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and monthly MIS reports.

• Manage payroll accounting and related statutory payments.

• Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits.

• Maintain proper documentation and support financial reporting.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or related field.

• Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar role.

• Knowledge of Tally, MS Excel, and accounting software (e.g., Tally ERP 9, QuickBooks, Zoho).

• Strong understanding of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory compliances.

• Good analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to work independently with accuracy and attention to detail.

• Problem-solving attitude with strong time-management abilities.

• Knowledge of advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.).

• Familiarity with audit procedures and financial analysis.
