Account Maintenance Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping:
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including recording transactions, invoices, and payments.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Managing accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment reconciliation, and collection efforts.
Bank Reconciliation:
Reconciling bank statements with the company's records to identify and resolve discrepancies.
Financial Statement Preparation:
Preparing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
General Ledger Maintenance:
Maintaining the general ledger and ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
Month-End and Year-End Closings:
Performing month-end and year-end closing activities, including adjusting entries and preparing financial reports.
Compliance:
Ensuring all accounting practices comply with accounting principles and company policies.
Internal Audits:
Assisting in internal audits and ensuring adherence to company policies and statutory compliance.
Record Keeping:
Maintaining organized records of all financial transactions and statutory filings.
GST Return Filing Responsibilities:
GST Compliance:
Understanding and applying GST regulations, ensuring timely filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.), reconciliation of GST input credits, and handling GST audits.
Tax Calculation:
Calculating GST liabilities, including SGST, CGST, and IGST, based on transactions and sales.
Invoice Verification:
Verifying and ensuring invoices from suppliers and vendors are correctly formatted and contain all required GST-related information.
TDS Compliance:
Deducting, depositing, and filing TDS returns accurately within prescribed timelines.
Tax Reporting:
Preparing and filing monthly/quarterly/annual returns, handling audits and assessments, and ensuring timely and accurate reporting of tax liabilities and payments.
Tax Record Keeping:
Maintaining tax-related records and reconciling tax-related accounts.
