Accountant

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts and financial records.

• Record daily accounting transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and journal entries.

• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Prepare and process invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and other accounting documents.

• Perform regular bank, ledger, and account reconciliations.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

• Assist with preparation of Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, cash-flow reports, and MIS reports.

• Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and follow up on pending payments.

• Assist in budgeting, cash-flow management, and financial analysis.

• Ensure accounting records are maintained in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.

• Support GST, TDS, income tax, and other statutory compliance requirements, where applicable.

• Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, vendors, and internal departments.

• Assist with internal and external audits and provide required documentation.

• Identify accounting discrepancies, investigate variances, and make necessary corrections.

• Maintain proper documentation and ensure confidentiality of financial information.

• Support management with financial information and other accounting-related requirements.

Key Skills :

1. Accounting knowledge – Understanding of fundamental accounting principles and financial statements.

2. Practical experience – Hands-on experience with bookkeeping, reconciliations, AP/AR, and month-end closing.

3. Tax & compliance knowledge – Relevant knowledge of GST, TDS, income tax, and statutory requirements.

4. Software proficiency – Experience with Excel and relevant accounting/ERP software.

5. Accuracy – Ability to identify discrepancies and maintain error-free financial records.

6. Analytical ability – Ability to interpret financial data and investigate variances.

7. Communication skills – Ability to communicate effectively with management, vendors, auditors, and colleagues.

8. Integrity & confidentiality – Ability to handle sensitive financial information responsibly.

9. Time management – Ability to meet reporting, payment, tax, and audit deadlines.

10. Problem-solving ability – Ability to resolve accounting discrepancies and operational issues.
