Accountant

An Accountant position is needed to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing reports, and providing financial analysis to support business decisions. The Accountant will be responsible for tasks like reconciling bank statements, preparing financial statements, managing payroll, and ensuring compliance with tax laws. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger accounts and financial statements. 

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. 

• Tax Compliance: Manage tax filings and ensure compliance with applicable tax laws. 

• Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts. 

• Payroll: Manage payroll functions, including calculating wages, deductions, and taxes. 

• Budgeting: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets. 

• Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, assess risks, and provide insights to support business decisions. 

• Compliance: Ensure compliance with GAAP and other accounting principles. 

• Audits: Assist with internal and external audits. 

• System Implementation: Participate in the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and software. 

Required Skills: 

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.

• Proficiency in accounting software and systems.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Detail-oriented with a strong attention to accuracy.

• Ability to communicate effectively with management and other stakeholders.

• Knowledge of tax laws and regulations.

• Experience with financial reporting and analysis. 

Desired Experience: 

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.

• Relevant work experience in accounting or finance.

• Experience with specific accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Oracle, SAP).

• CPA or similar certification.
