Core Responsibilities:
Maintaining Financial Records: Keeping accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.
Preparing Financial Statements: Assisting in the preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports.
Accounts Payable/Receivable Management: Processing invoices, managing payments, and resolving any discrepancies.
Bank Reconciliations: Reconciling bank statements with the company's general ledger to ensure accuracy.
Data Entry and Maintenance: Entering and maintaining financial data in accounting software and databases.
Assisting with Month-End and Year-End Closings: Supporting the processes for closing out accounting periods.
Supporting Audits and Compliance: Assisting with audits and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Additional Duties:
Preparing Expense Reports: Processing employee expense reports and reimbursements.
Assisting with Tax Filings: Helping with the preparation and submission of tax returns.
Supporting Budgeting and Forecasting: Assisting with budget preparation and forecasting tasks.
Providing Administrative Support: Providing administrative support to the accounting team.
Learning and Development: Continuously learning and developing skills in accounting software and accounting principles.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Basic Accounting Knowledge: Understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in Accounting Software: Familiarity with accounting software like Tally or QuickBooks.
Excel Skills: Strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
