Accountant - Financial Reporting and Statutory Compliance

Accountant Title: Accountant Responsible for executing accounting policies and procedures involving the maintenance of general ledgers, asset and liability accounts, analysis of balance sheet accounts, financial statements and management financial reporting. Independently perform assignments requiring experience and knowledge of standard concepts within the field of accounting and audit. Duties and Responsibilities Work on Legal Entity Reporting (Statutory Financials and audit) for the Legal Entities assigned Subject matter expert / Single point of contact role for the responsibilities assigned Individual contributor role involving medium complex activities This role will report into a Manager / Sr. Manager Should adhere to all controls and compliance including SoX / business controls applicable for the activities assigned This role will need to liaise across teams for information; being a team player is a must High stakeholder engagement at Senior levels in a global environment to discuss Statutory Financials Qualifications – Skill Requirements – Experience Levels (Additional Requirements) A qualified accountant with a minimum of 2-5 years post qualification (CA/CWA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA) Should possess strong accounting knowledge, GAAP / IFRS and SOX Controls Candidates with strong experience in Financial Consolidation and with exposure to Legal Entity Reporting (Statutory Financials) and audit with large multi-national organization of repute , Good knowledge in Book to Statutory (Book to gap) adjustments Candidates with hands on experience in Accounting and Consolidation ERP like SAP, MSD, Costpoint, Oracle (HFM / EPM) preferred Candidates with hands on experience in Reporting Software like Workiva or Onesource preferred Strong interpretation and analytical skills with attention to details Need to possess KBR Values (We value our people; We deliver; We are people of integrity; We empower; We are a team of teams) Experience of working in a virtual environment spread across regions from diverse background and nationalities and dealing with senior stakeholders both internal as well as external (statutory auditors from one of the Big 4) Strong interpersonal skills including communication (both verbal and written) and articulation Business savvy, ability to work with tight timelines and pressure Need to be assertive and should possess good problem solving abilities Display continuous improvement mindset and should have led process improvements Should be flexible to work under tight timelines and extended hours as the business needs Flexible to take roles that can be either Individual Contributor or leading teams as per the management decision/business needs Team handling experience would be an added advantage Should be flexible for job rotation on business needs and / or as determined as per the career progression plans Should be flexible regarding working days and working timings (shift timings and working days based on business requirement) Should be flexible regarding work from home vs work from office to be determined based on business requirements Preferred Qualifications A Qualified accountant with 2+ years of post-qualification experience in statutory/internal audit and accounting field. (CA/CWA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA) Experience Level Senior Level
