Position Overview
The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining safety, order, and vigilance within the society premises. This includes managing visitor and vehicle movement, conducting patrols, and ensuring compliance with society rules.
Key Responsibilities
Control visitor entry by verifying purpose and obtaining resident approval via intercom or mobile app. Record visitor details in the mobile app or register before granting access. Monitor vehicle entry; allow only stickered vehicles or those approved via app. Guide visitor vehicles to designated parking areas; deny entry if parking is unavailable. Conduct regular patrols of the premises and maintain presence at assigned posts. Physically inspect incoming materials (e.g., water tankers) and vendors/workers. Maintain security documentation: attendance register, observation book, material movement logs, etc. Ensure clubhouse, gym, and pool are used only during designated hours. Monitor water levels and DC levels; report issues to supervisor or committee. Switch common area lights on/off as per instructions. Prevent entry of stray animals; ensure gates remain closed. Enforce discipline: no sleeping, smoking, drinking, chewing gutka, or mobile usage during duty. Maintain personal hygiene, proper uniform, and courteous behavior. Report any untoward incidents immediately to the committee. Ensure proper handover/takeover procedures and key management. Assist residents during emergencies (e.g., lift issues). Record late-night entries (12 AM–5 AM) as per police guidelines. Ensure food deliveries during restricted hours are collected at the gate.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum education: Basic literacy and writing ability. Physically fit and alert; good habits and etiquette. No criminal record; prior experience preferred. Must not engage in other employment during tenure. Willing to work in shifts (not exceeding 12 hours unless during shift change).
