Accounts Manager – Full Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Manager to oversee the day-to-day accounting operations of our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the finance team, ensuring accuracy in accounting records, handling statutory compliance, and providing timely financial reports to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise the daily operations of the accounts department, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.

• Monitor cash flow, fund flow, and prepare forecasts to support financial planning.

• Ensure timely statutory compliance – GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI, etc.

• Coordinate and manage audits (internal, statutory, tax) and liaise with external auditors and consultants.

• Oversee payroll processing and ensure accurate salary disbursements.

• Review and improve internal accounting processes and systems.

• Maintain updated records of all financial transactions in accounting software – Tally Prime

• Manage budget preparation and financial analysis for decision-making.

• Supervise and guide junior accounting staff and ensure their work aligns with organizational policies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s or CA Inter preferred).

• Proven work experience (5+ years) in accounting or finance, preferably in a managerial role.

• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation laws, and financial regulations.

• Proficiency in accounting software (Tally Prime, Zoho Books, etc.).

• Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.

• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in handling audits and finalization of accounts.

• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

• Knowledge of MIS reporting and data analysis.
