Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and customer-focused Cafe Captain to lead our service team at a vibrant café in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will have 3–6 years of experience in café or casual dining service, strong communication and leadership skills, and a passion for delivering warm, attentive, and efficient service. You will oversee day-to-day café operations, ensure smooth service flow, and create a welcoming atmosphere that enhances the guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Engagement: Greet and assist guests in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a pleasant and personalized café experience.
Service Supervision: Oversee the service team to maintain consistency in quality, presentation, and speed of service.
Order Coordination: Ensure accurate order taking and timely delivery of food and beverages, maintaining coordination between service, kitchen, and barista teams.
Floor Management: Maintain table setup, cleanliness, and overall café ambiance in line with brand standards.
Team Leadership: Train, guide, and motivate service staff to deliver exceptional customer service and uphold café standards.
Customer Satisfaction: Handle guest feedback or complaints promptly and courteously, ensuring a positive outcome.
Upselling: Suggest food and beverage pairings, promote daily specials, and enhance sales through product knowledge and service excellence.
Operational Support: Assist in managing inventory, daily reports, and coordination with management for smooth operations.
Qualifications:
3–6 years of experience as a Captain or Senior Steward in a café or casual dining setup.
Strong understanding of café operations, menu items, and customer service best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-first approach.
Proven leadership and team management abilities in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to multitask and maintain composure under pressure.
Knowledge of hygiene, safety, and service standards.
Preferred Skills:
Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
Familiarity with POS systems and café management software.
A proactive approach with attention to detail and a passion for hospitality.
