Position Overview
The Restaurant Captain will be responsible for supervising service staff, coordinating dining operations, and maintaining high standards of hospitality. This role requires leadership skills, professionalism, attention to detail, and a strong guest-focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant floor operations.
Lead, guide, and motivate service staff to deliver excellent guest experiences.
Ensure proper table setup, cleanliness, and presentation standards.
Greet and interact with guests professionally, addressing requests and concerns promptly.
Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth and timely service.
Monitor service quality, efficiency, and staff performance.
Assist in training and mentoring waitstaff and stewards.
Handle reservations, seating arrangements, and guest flow management.
Maintain knowledge of menus, ingredients, and beverage offerings.
Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and service standards.
Support operations during special events, cultural programs, and VIP visits.
Qualifications & Requirements
2–5 years of experience in restaurant service, with leadership/supervisory experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of hospitality and fine-dining service standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Professional appearance, confidence, and positive attitude.
Ability to manage teams and work under pressure.
Strong problem-solving and guest-handling skills.
Basic knowledge of POS systems and restaurant operations.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and event schedules.
