Handle the acceptance, storage, and dispatch of air cargo shipments.
Coordinate with freight forwarders, ground handlers, and customs officials for smooth cargo operations.
Prepare and verify shipping documentation such as Air Waybills (AWB), cargo manifests, and customs paperwork.
Ensure proper labelling, tagging, and tracking of shipments.
Manage special cargo, such as perishable goods, dangerous goods (DGR), live animals, and valuable cargo, according to IATA regulations.
Monitor loading and unloading operations, ensuring cargo is safely stowed and secured.
Maintain up-to-date records in cargo management systems (CARGO-IMP, CHAMP Cargospot, or similar).
Coordinate and resolve customer queries regarding shipments, delays, or damages.
Ensure compliance with airline policies, security guidelines, and government regulations.
Report incidents, damages, and irregularities to the Cargo Supervisor or Manager.
Optimize warehouse space utilization and maintain cargo inventory.
Assist in the billing and invoicing process for cargo services.
