The Labour Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of site workers and labourers on construction or industrial projects. The role involves supervising daily operations, ensuring safety compliance, and meeting project deadlines and quality standards.
Supervise and coordinate the activities of general labourers and skilled workers.
Allocate tasks and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of project phases.
Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Conduct daily briefings and toolbox talks with site workers.
Monitor attendance, timekeeping, and productivity of the workforce.
Report progress, issues, and incidents to the Site Manager or Project Manager.
Ensure the correct use of tools and materials, and report any shortages or defects.
Maintain a clean and organized worksite.
Assist in training new workers and ensuring work quality standards are met.
Handle minor disputes or issues among the workforce and escalate when necessary.
Proven experience as a site or labour supervisor, foreman, or similar role.
Knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and occupational safety standards.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical documents (if required).
Basic first aid and safety training (preferred).
Physically fit and capable of working in various weather conditions.
High school diploma or equivalent.
May involve extended hours, weekend, or shift work depending on project needs.
