Job Description:
Jungle Adventure Park is seeking responsible, caring, and attentive individuals to join our team as Caretakers/Baby Sitters (Child Play Area Supervisors). In this role, you will be directly responsible for supervising children within the indoor soft play area, ensuring their safety, promoting a positive play environment, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the play area and toys, and ensuring that children follow park rules and regulations.
Responsibilities:
Active Supervision: Continuously monitor children playing within the soft play area to ensure their safety and well-being.
Engaging with Children: Interact with children in a friendly and positive manner, encouraging safe and cooperative play.
Enforcing Rules and Regulations: Clearly communicate and consistently enforce park rules and safety guidelines to children and, when necessary, to their accompanying adults.
Maintaining a Safe Environment: Identify and address any potential safety hazards within the play area.
First Aid (Basic): Be prepared to administer basic first aid for minor injuries and report any significant incidents to the management.
Cleanliness and Organization: Regularly tidy up the play area, ensuring toys are in their designated places and the overall environment is clean and presentable.
Toy Maintenance: Inspect toys for any damage or wear and tear and report any issues to the management.
Assisting Children: Provide assistance to children as needed, such as helping them navigate the play structures or resolving minor conflicts.
Communicating with Parents/Guardians: Be available to answer basic questions from parents/guardians and communicate any concerns regarding their child's behavior or well-being (as per park policy).
Reporting Incidents: Document any accidents, injuries, or rule violations according to established procedures.
Teamwork: Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the smooth operation of the play area.
Promoting Positive Play: Encourage sharing, taking turns, and respectful interactions among children.
Requirements:
Must have a genuine love for children and a patient and caring attitude.
Responsible, reliable, and attentive.
Ability to actively supervise and manage groups of children.
Good communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with children and adults.
Ability to understand and enforce rules and regulations in a positive manner.
Basic knowledge of child safety and first aid (training may be provided).
Proactive and able to identify potential hazards.
Ability to maintain a clean and organized environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be physically able to move around the play area and interact with children at their level.
Prior experience working with children (e.g., babysitting, daycare, teaching assistant) is preferred.
Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
Working Hours: Different Shifts, including weekends
Salary: Based on experience and skills.
