Roles & Responsibilities

1. Inventory Management:
 Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing materials.  Ensure proper stock levels are maintained to meet production requirements.  Conduct regular stock audits and physical verification.  Implement FIFO (First-In-First-Out) or LIFO (Last-In-First-Out) methods as applicable.
2. Material Handling:  Ensure safe unloading, storage, and handling of materials.  Properly label and store items to avoid confusion or damage.  Coordinate with production and purchase teams for timely material availability.
3. Documentation & Reporting:  Maintain stock registers and update ERP/Inventory management software.  Generate daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports.  Prepare and maintain Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), Issue Slips, and other necessary documents.
4. Coordination with Departments:  Work closely with the procurement, production, and quality departments.  Follow up with suppliers for delivery schedules and pending orders.  Coordinate with dispatch for timely delivery of finished goods.
5. Quality Assurance:  Ensure that the received goods meet quality standards before acceptance.  Report any damage or discrepancy in materials to the concerned department immediately.
6. Safety & Compliance:  Maintain store hygiene and follow safety protocols.  Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements related to inventory.
7. Asset & Tools Management (if applicable):  Maintain records of tools, machinery parts, and consumables issued to various departments.  Track returnable items and ensure timely recovery.
