Job Summary
Wercatalyst is seeking a motivated Associate Product Manager to join our logistics team focusing on first mile operations—the essential first step where goods are collected from suppliers or manufacturers and moved to distribution centers. The APM will assist in planning, executing, and continuously improving product solutions to optimize first mile processes. This role offers deep collaboration across operations, engineering, and analytics to deliver a seamless supply chain start, improving quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Support senior product managers by gathering, prioritizing, and documenting first mile product feature requirements and user stories.
- Conduct detailed market research and collect customer and partner feedback to identify trends, pain points, and improvement opportunities related to first mile logistics.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and design teams to plan, develop, and launch product enhancements or new features tailored to first mile needs.
- Analyze product usage and performance metrics within first mile operations, delivering actionable insights to reduce delays and improve customer satisfaction.
- Assist in mapping and documenting first mile workflows, business processes, and operational challenges to inform product decisions.
- Participate in pilot projects and testing phases to validate product improvements in real-world first mile environments.
- Communicate proactively with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal teams to align on progress and resolve operational issues.
- Support development of training materials and documentation for first mile products or feature launches.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory and safety requirements applicable to first mile logistics activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to interpret data and generate insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective teamwork across departments.
- Passion for logistics technology, operational improvement, and customer-focused product design.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Familiarity with product management tools like Jira or Trello is a plus.
- Previous experience or internships in logistics, supply chain, or related domains is preferred but not required.
