Job Title: Steward / Waiter

The Steward/Waiter is responsible for providing excellent guest service in the restaurant or dining area. The role includes welcoming guests, taking and serving food and beverage orders, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene, and ensuring guest satisfaction by being attentive and courteous.
Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables.
Present menus and help guests select food and beverages by offering suggestions and answering questions.
Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen and bar.
Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally.
Check with guests to ensure satisfaction with each course and overall experience.
Clear and reset tables after guests leave.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the service area.
Handle guest complaints or refer them to the supervisor.
Follow all safety and hygiene policies as per hotel standards.
Cooperate with all team members to ensure smooth service operations.
Assist in setup and breakdown of service areas for functions and events if needed.
Education: Minimum 10th/12th pass; Hotel Management diploma/certificate preferred.
Experience: 0–2 years of experience as a steward/waiter in a hotel, resort, or restaurant.
Skills:
Good communication skills in English and local language.
Customer service orientation.

Ability to work under pressure and multitask.
Basic knowledge of food and beverages.
Rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Standing for extended periods.
Handling hot and cold food/beverages.
