Greet guests warmly, manage seating, and ensure prompt service delivery.
Handle guest concerns, special requests, and feedback efficiently and professionally.
Promote signature dishes, tea selections, and menu offerings through knowledgeable recommendations.
Lead and guide stewards and service associates during shifts.
Allocate tables, assign duties, and ensure staff adherence to SOPs.
Train new team members on service etiquette, grooming, and sequence of service.
Conduct pre-shift briefings and ensure readiness before service.
Oversee table management, order flow, and smooth coordination with the kitchen and bar.
Ensure cleanliness, ambience, and hygiene standards are met at all times.
Monitor inventory levels of cutlery, crockery, linen, and service equipment.
Ensure compliance with FSSAI, safety, and hygiene guidelines.
Upsell menu items, special dishes, and tea pairings.
Contribute to achieving daily revenue targets through effective guest engagement.
Monitor bill settlement, check accuracy, and support cash handling procedures when required.
2–4 years of experience in a Captain/Shift Leader/Senior Steward role in upscale dining, casual fine-dining, or premium hospitality environments.
Strong communication and guest interaction skills.
Knowledge of service standards, food & beverage operations, and POS systems.
Ability to manage a team, maintain discipline, and lead by example.
Positive attitude, polished grooming, and passion for hospitality.
