About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled and creative Video Editor to collaborate with new and upcoming podcasters who are looking to elevate their content with professional video editing services. As a Video Editor, you will play a key role in transforming raw podcast footage into engaging, polished videos that captivate audiences on platforms like YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and other social media channels. Podcasters are eager to pay for high-quality editing to enhance their brand and grow their audience.
Responsibilities:
Edit raw podcast footage into compelling video content, including intros, outros, transitions, and visual effects.
Incorporate audio enhancements, such as sound leveling, noise reduction, and music overlays, to ensure a professional audio-visual experience.
Add graphics, text overlays, captions, and animations to align with the podcaster’s branding and style.
Optimize videos for various platforms, ensuring proper formatting, resolution, and aspect ratios (e.g., 16:9 for YouTube, 9:16 for TikTok/Instagram Reels).
Collaborate with podcasters to understand their vision, tone, and target audience.
Deliver projects within agreed-upon timelines, maintaining consistent communication with clients.
Optionally, create short teaser clips or promotional content for social media to help podcasters market their episodes.
Requirements:
Proven experience in video editing, with a portfolio showcasing previous work (podcast editing experience is a plus but not required).
Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools.
Familiarity with audio editing tools (e.g., Adobe Audition, Audacity) for enhancing podcast audio quality.
Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and visual aesthetics to create engaging content.
Knowledge of social media video trends and platform-specific requirements.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with clients.
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Access to reliable editing equipment and software.
Preferred Skills (Optional):
Experience with motion graphics or animation (e.g., Adobe After Effects).
Basic color grading and correction skills.
Understanding of SEO and video optimization for YouTube and other platforms.
Familiarity with podcast-specific editing workflows (e.g., multi-camera setups, dynamic split-screen visuals).
Compensation:
