Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Education Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding prospective students through their educational journey, helping them make informed decisions about courses, programs, and career paths. The Education Counselor will provide personalized academic guidance, support the admissions process, and help students navigate their educational goals to ensure success and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Student Guidance:
Provide one-on-one counseling sessions to students, addressing their educational, career, and personal concerns.
Advise students on suitable courses, programs, and certifications based on their interests, career goals, and academic backgrounds.
Help students understand course prerequisites, curriculum structures, and timelines for program completion.
Admissions Support:
Assist prospective students with the admissions process, including application submission, document verification, and interview preparation.
Conduct initial consultations with prospective students and their families, providing detailed information about available programs and career prospects.
Track and follow up on student applications, ensuring smooth enrollment and onboarding.
Career Counseling:
Offer advice on career pathways, job market trends, and industry requirements, helping students align their educational choices with future job opportunities.
Organize and facilitate career fairs, webinars, and job placement assistance programs.
Provide students with relevant information on internships, certifications, and professional development opportunities.
Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records, including counseling sessions, academic progress, and follow-ups.
Prepare reports on student feedback, academic trends, and counselor activities for management review.
Qualifications/ Experiences:-
Any Graduate with Minimum 2 years of experience in academic counseling, career counseling, or student support roles in an educational institution. Familiarity with educational programs, career development, and the admissions process.
Skills/Additional Qualities:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with students and their families.
Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
Empathy and the ability to understand students’ concerns and provide appropriate guidance.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
