[Insert Hospital Name] is seeking a reliable, compassionate, and skilled X-Ray Technician to join our Radiology Department. In this hospital-based role, you will perform diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray technology to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients across emergency, inpatient, surgical, and outpatient units. You will work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where accuracy, safety, and patient care are the top priorities.
Operate X-ray and fluoroscopic equipment to produce diagnostic images in accordance with physician orders.
Perform portable and bedside imaging for critical care, surgical, and inpatient units as needed.
Accurately position patients to ensure proper image capture while prioritizing comfort and safety.
Assist physicians during radiologic procedures, including trauma and surgical imaging.
Adhere strictly to radiation protection protocols to ensure patient, staff, and personal safety.
Maintain accurate patient records and submit completed images to the hospital PACS system.
Follow infection control procedures and hospital standards for cleanliness and equipment care.
Respond quickly and calmly to emergency situations and trauma codes.
Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, nurses, and other hospital staff.
Associate’s degree or certificate in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program.
Current certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
State Radiologic Technologist license (as required).
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (or willing to obtain before start date).
Strong understanding of hospital workflows, patient confidentiality (HIPAA), and radiologic safety practices.
Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations.
1+ years of experience in a hospital or acute care imaging environment.
Experience with PACS, digital radiography systems, and hospital EMR (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
Familiarity with trauma and operating room imaging procedures.
Hospital setting with exposure to emergency, surgical, and inpatient units.
Requires standing, walking, and moving equipment for long periods.
Must be able to lift or assist in moving patients.
Exposure to radiation with appropriate PPE and safety protocols in place.
