Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and technically sound Solar Technician to join our dynamic team. The technician will be responsible for on-site installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar PV systems and solar water heating systems. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a hands-on approach, attention to detail, and a passion for renewable energy.
Key Responsibility Areas (KRA):
1. Installation and Commissioning:
Execute the installation and commissioning of solar power systems and solar water heating units as per design and safety guidelines.
Ensure proper wiring, mounting, and configuration in accordance with technical specifications.
2. Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
Perform regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance of installed systems.
Identify and resolve technical faults promptly to reduce system downtime and maximize output.
3. Quality Assurance:
Uphold the highest standards of workmanship during installation and servicing activities.
Conduct quality checks to ensure installations are in compliance with company and client expectations.
4. Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate service records, installation documentation, and maintenance logs.
Prepare and submit reports on system performance, issues encountered, and work completed.
5. Customer Service:
Interact professionally with clients, addressing queries and service requests courteously.
Ensure complete client satisfaction during and post-project execution.
6. Team Collaboration:
Work in coordination with project engineers, site supervisors, and sales teams to ensure smooth project flow.
Offer on-site technical support and mentoring to junior team members as necessary.
7. Continuous Learning and Development:
Keep up-to-date with evolving solar technologies, installation techniques, and industry trends.
Actively participate in internal and external training programs.
8. Submission of Conveyance Sheet:
Submit accurate conveyance reports every fortnight for travel-related reimbursement, backed with necessary proofs.
9. Travel Requirement:
Willingness to travel frequently to various project sites for installations, surveys, and service-related work.
Desired Candidate Profile:
ITI/Diploma/Technical certification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy (preferred).
Prior experience in solar system installation and maintenance will be an added advantage.
Basic understanding of electrical safety practices.
Physically fit and comfortable working at heights and outdoor conditions.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Good communication and customer-handling skills.
Must be a team player and willing to learn continuously.
