Job Title: Lift Technician / Elevator Technician
Location: Mumbai, Mira-Bhayander, Thane
Department: Operations / Maintenance
Reporting To: Sr. Technician / Operations Manager
Employment Type: Full-time
Experience Required: 1–3 years (including apprenticeship or OJT- On-the-Job Taining)
Salary Range: ₹10,000 – ₹25,000/month (based on experience & skills)
No. requirements: 3 Junior Technicians (Mumbai, Mira-Bhayander, Thane- respectively)
& 3 Sr, Technicians (Mumbai, Mira-Bhayander, Thane- respectively)
Summary:
To perform installation, inspection, preventive maintenance, and breakdown servicing of lifts and
escalators in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings, ensuring safety, reliability, and
compliance with statutory regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Preventive Maintenance: Performing scheduled checks and servicing to prevent
breakdowns.
o Conduct routine inspection, lubrication, adjustments, and testing of lifts and
escalators.
o Replace worn-out components (e.g., ropes, guide shoes, relays) to avoid
breakdowns.
Breakdown & Emergency Repairs: Responding to and repairing faults when lifts are not
working.
o Respond to fault calls and emergencies; diagnose and repair electrical/mechanical
issues.
o Minimize downtime and ensure safe restoration of service.
2. Safety & Compliance
o Follow safety protocols as per norms.
o Maintain safety logs, AMC records, and documentation for audits.
Customer Communication: Handling queries and communicating with clients/building
occupants.
o Interact courteously with clients and occupants to report faults, issues, and
recommendations.
o Escalate technical issues to senior technicians or OEM service teams when required.
3. Documentation & Reporting
o Maintain service logs, breakdown records, and inspection checklists.
o Submit daily job reports to supervisors through mobile apps or paper forms.
Educational Qualification:
SSC (10th) pass; 12th pass (minimum) or technical certificate/diploma
ITI in Lift Mechanic / Electrician/Wireman (NCVT preferred)
Additional certifications in elevator safety, welding, or electrical safety are a plus.
Certification: Welding, confined-space, first-aid, safety training (Preferred)
Experience:
1–3 years in lift installation or maintenance.
Fresher with strong ITI background and apprenticeship exposure may also apply.
Ideally ≥6 months OJT or internship
2-year ITI Lift & Escalator Mechanic OR shorter vocational courses (For Qualified technician)
Mandatory on‑site training under Apprenticeship Act (For Qualified technician)
Key Skills:
Lift troubleshooting & fault diagnostics (Otis, Kone, Schindler, etc.)
Basic PLC and control panel understanding (optional but preferred)
Adherence to safety protocols and compliance checklists
Ability to use mobile apps for reporting & time logs (desirable)
