Fiber Network Technician

Job Purpose:

To install, maintain, and troubleshoot fiber optic network infrastructure for broadband internet and leased line services, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity and service quality for customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform installation, splicing, termination, and testing of fiber optic cables (FTTH/FTTX).

• Conduct site surveys for feasibility checks and route planning.

• Troubleshoot and resolve fiber link issues and network faults.

• Install ONU/ONT devices, routers, and other customer-end equipment.

• Maintain proper documentation of fiber routes, splicing records, and service reports.

• Coordinate with NOC and technical team for link activations and fault management.

• Follow safety standards and use appropriate tools and PPE during fieldwork.

• Handle underground and overhead fiber cable laying activities.

• Provide on-site support during service calls and maintenance activities.
