Building operations:
Ensure daily operations like cleaning, security, and groundskeeping are running smoothly.
Maintenance and repair:
Oversee all maintenance and repair work, conduct inspections, and manage both preventative and emergency maintenance.
Budget management:
Prepare, manage, and oversee facility budgets for maintenance, repairs, and contracts.
Vendor and contractor management:
Source, negotiate, and manage contracts with third-party vendors for services such as cleaning, IT support, and security.
Health and safety:
Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations to ensure the facility is compliant and secure.
Project management:
Coordinate and manage renovations, refurbishments, and other projects, such as office moves or installations.
Staff supervision:
Supervise and direct the work of on-site teams, including maintenance staff, custodians, and groundskeepers.
Space management:
Optimize the use of space and may assist with planning for future space needs.
