A teacher is responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment, developing and delivering lesson plans aligned with curriculum standard from senior kg to 12th, assessing student progress, and communicating with Senior staff. They also play a vital role in fostering positive social and emotional development in young learners.

Responsibilities:
● Plan, prepare, and deliver age- and grade-appropriate lessons that cater to diverse learning needs and academic levels.
● Design and adapt instructional materials (worksheets, visuals, projects) and conduct regular assessments (tests, observations, assignments) to track academic progress.
● Provide subject-specific support across Hindi and English medium curricula, ensuring alignment with school standards and expectations.
● Offer remedial education and individualized support for children lagging academically or with learning difficulties.
● Develop and maintain daily and weekly timetables that help children follow structured routines.
● Create and update individualized education plans (IEPs) monthly, share progress with the supervisor
● Support and facilitate children’s participation in in-house events, competitions, celebrations, and exposure visits.
● Maintain accurate records of lesson plans, attendance, academic progress, and behavioral observations.
● Stay updated with current teaching methodologies, inclusive education practices, and child-centered learning approaches.
● Engage in regular review meetings with education staff and contribute to planning academic interventions.
● Foster a supportive relationship with students, encouraging their confidence, creativity, and critical thinking skills.
● Communicate regularly with the supervisor about children’s academic needs, school interactions, and follow-up requirements.
● Uphold the vision, mission, and child protection policies of the shelter home.
Skills:
● Lesson planning and classroom management
● Knowledge of Hindi and English medium curricula
