Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment where young children can learn and grow. Key Responsibilities:

• Curriculum & Lesson Planning:

  • Develop and execute engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that align with the school's educational philosophy and developmental standards.

  • Incorporate a variety of educational techniques, including storytelling, educational play, art, music, and sensory activities, to facilitate learning.

  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of individual children.

• Classroom Management & Student Development:

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment in compliance with health and safety standards.

  • Supervise children during all activities, including nap time, snack time, and outdoor play.

  • Observe and assess each child's progress, identifying strengths and areas for improvement.

  • Encourage positive social interactions, teach conflict resolution skills, and help children build self-esteem.

• Communication & Collaboration:

  • Establish and maintain open, regular communication with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily activities.

  • Conduct parent-teacher conferences to discuss developmental milestones and educational goals.

  • Collaborate with other educators, administrators, and staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.

• Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and developmental observations.

  • Prepare and maintain educational resources and materials.

  • Adhere to all school policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education:

  • A Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is often required.

  • Relevant certifications, such as a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, are a plus.

• Experience:

  • Proven experience working with young children in a classroom or childcare setting.

• Skills:

  • Excellent understanding of child development principles and preschool educational methods.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.

  • Patience, creativity, and a compassionate nature.

  • Ability to act as a mediator and manage a classroom effectively.

  • Strong organizational skills to plan lessons and maintain records.

  • Certification in child CPR and First Aid is often required.

Physical Demands:

• The ability to sit on the floor, crouch, kneel, and lift up to a certain weight (e.g., 35 lbs) to assist children.

• Physical stamina and energy to keep up with the demands of working with young children.
