Key Responsibilities

1. Supervision & Monitoring

• Lead and manage the team of security guards, ensuring deployment at all critical points (wards, ICU, OPD, entry/exit gates, parking, emergency ward, etc.).

• Conduct regular patrols and surprise checks in hospital premises.

• Monitor CCTV surveillance and coordinate immediate response to incidents.

2. Safety & Security Management

• Ensure the safety of patients, visitors, staff, and hospital assets.

• Handle emergencies such as theft, fire, fights, crowd control, and patient/visitor disputes.

• Ensure ambulance and emergency vehicle access is always clear.

3. Access Control

• Enforce hospital entry/exit protocols, visitor passes, and patient attendant policies.

• Prevent unauthorized access to restricted areas like ICU, operation theaters, and pharmacy.

4. Coordination

• Liaise with hospital administration, local police, and fire department in case of emergency.

• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and ward staff to maintain discipline and security.

5. Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain daily security reports, incident reports, and guard attendance.

• Report any suspicious activity or security breach immediately to management.

6. Training & Discipline

• Train and guide security guards in hospital etiquette, patient handling, and emergency procedures.

• Ensure guards maintain proper uniform, discipline, and behavior with patients and visitors.
