Role of a Freelance Sales Representative
As a JTH Freelance Sales Representative, you will:
Represent the JTH product line to potential clients (homeowners, designers, architects, businesses).
Generate and manage your own leads using your personal/professional networks.
Conduct product presentations and follow up on sales inquiries.
Help clients with furniture selection, customization options, pricing, and order placement.
Work closely with our sales and design team to align with brand values and offerings.
Compensation Structure
Commission-based compensation: Earn 8–10% commission on total sales value
Payment is processed monthly, based on cleared and fulfilled orders.
Ideal Sales Freelancer Profile
We’re looking for people who:
Have experience in B2C/B2B sales, furniture, interiors, or related lifestyle/design industries.
Are self-motivated and goal-oriented.
Have their own network of potential clients, or the ability to generate leads.
Are confident presenting to individuals, families, or design professionals.
Are organized and responsive communicators.
Onboarding Framework
1. Orientation & Introduction
Purpose: Give new freelancers the foundation to confidently represent JTH.
What it includes:
Welcome Session: Intro to JTH’s brand story, vision, and core values.
Meet the Team: Key contacts for sales, design, support, and logistics.
Product Training: Overview of our product range, collections, materials, and customization options.
Sales Tools: Access to:
Product catalogues (print + digital)
Pricing sheets
Customization and lead time info
Brand guidelines and visual assets
Sample pitch decks or outreach templates
2. Communication & Support
Purpose: Ensure freelancers feel supported and aligned with the company.
Ongoing Structure:
Clear Expectations: Sales targets (monthly/quarterly), lead tracking methods, reporting cadence.
Regular Check-ins: Bi-weekly or monthly check-ins to:
Share wins and challenges
Offer product updates
Troubleshoot client issues
Communication Channels:
WhatsApp group or Slack channel for quick updates
Shared Google Drive for assets
Email for formal communication
3. Tools & Autonomy
Purpose: Empower freelancers to operate independently but within the JTH brand ethos.
What to provide:
Sales Pitch Deck (editable)
FAQs Document to answer common customer questions
Order Placement Guide — how to initiate and close a sale
CRM Spreadsheet or Tool Access (if applicable) to help them track leads and sales
Commission Tracker Template
Encourage initiative — allow freelancers to approach leads, pitch ideas, or suggest strategic outreach with support from the team.
4. Motivation, Recognition & Growth
Purpose: Keep freelancers engaged and invested in our growth.
What to implement:
Recognition: Celebrate high performers via shout-outs, bonuses, or spotlight features.
Incentives: Introduce performance-based rewards (e.g., extra commission slabs, vouchers, or tiered bonuses).
Growth Path: Opportunities to work on higher-end design projects, collaborate on showroom events, or even take on permanent roles.
