As a Sales Engineer at Bar Code India, you will be the technical expert and trusted advisor to our customers, bridging the gap between their business needs and our advanced barcode and RFID solutions. You will work closely with the sales team to understand client requirements, present product demos, provide technical support, and drive successful sales conversions.
Job Location - Sriperumbudur, Chennai.
Collaborate with the sales team to identify customer requirements and provide customized technical solutions involving barcode scanners, printers, RFID systems, and software.
Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to clients, explaining complex technical features in an easy-to-understand manner.
Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support, including system integration advice, troubleshooting, and training.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their evolving needs and promote product upgrades or additional services.
Prepare technical proposals, respond to RFPs, and assist in contract negotiations.
Work with product development and service teams to relay customer feedback and suggest improvements.
Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies in barcode and RFID solutions.
Achieve sales targets and contribute to business growth by identifying new market opportunities.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
Proven experience (2+ years) as a Sales Engineer, Technical Sales, or similar role in barcode/RFID/automation industries.
Strong understanding of barcode technology, RFID systems, scanners, printers, and related software.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical customers.
Strong problem-solving skills and customer-oriented mindset.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Willingness to travel as needed for customer meetings and product demonstrations.
Experience with ERP/WMS/Inventory Management integration.
Knowledge of industry standards for barcode symbologies and RFID protocols.
Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools.
