Job title: Bancassurance Sales Specialist - Life Insurance & NBFC products

Job summary
The Bancassurance Sales Specialist is responsible for driving sales of life insurance products through partnering Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) channels. You'll work closely with NBFC staff to build relationships, provide product training, and execute sales and marketing strategies to achieve and surpass sales targets. You will also be responsible for identifying cross-selling opportunities for various financial products offered by the NBFC to its customers.
Key responsibilities
Relationship Management:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within the partnered NBFC branches, including branch managers and sales staff.
Collaborate with NBFC staff to identify potential customers and leverage their client base to generate leads for life insurance products.
Sales and Business Development:
Drive the sale of life insurance products (e.g., term insurance, endowment plans, ULIPs) through the NBFC channel.
Identify new business opportunities within the NBFC customer base and develop strategies to expand sales.
Conduct comprehensive needs assessments for NBFC customers to recommend appropriate life insurance solutions.
Cross-sell various financial products offered by the NBFC to its customers.
Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
Product Expertise and Training:
Provide training and support to NBFC personnel on life insurance products, benefits, and sales techniques.
Ensure that NBFC staff has a thorough understanding of the products to effectively communicate benefits and features to customers.
Customer Service and Compliance:
Provide excellent customer service by promptly addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to insurance products.
Facilitate the sales completion process, including medical reports and policy issuance.
Ensure strict compliance with regulatory guidelines (e.g., IRDAI and RBI regulations) and company policies.
Maintain accurate sales records and generate reports on sales performance and market trends.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
Proven experience in life insurance sales, preferably in the Bancassurance channel.
Strong understanding of life insurance products and market trends.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Ability to build and nurture relationships with bank/NBFC staff and customers.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Relevant certifications in insurance or financial services are a plus.
