Job Title: Steam Set Service Man – Skilled

Reporting To: Maintenance Supervisor / Shift In-Charge
The Steam Set Service Man (Skilled) is responsible for assisting in the operation, cleaning, maintenance, and minor repairs of steam sets, boilers, and related equipment to ensure smooth functioning and safe steam supply for production processes.
Assist in starting, monitoring, and shutting down steam set equipment.
Check water levels, pressure gauges, and temperature controls regularly.
Perform routine cleaning of steam set components and surrounding area.
Support in minor maintenance tasks such as tightening, lubrication, and gasket replacement.
Follow all safety protocols while handling steam systems.
Report abnormalities, leaks, or defects to the supervisor immediately.
Maintain simple operational logs (pressure, temperature, hours of operation).
Assist senior technicians during major repairs or inspections.
Basic understanding of steam generation and boiler operation.
Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
Awareness of safety measures while working with high-pressure systems.
Basic mechanical skills and tool handling knowledge.
Minimum: 10th standard pass (or equivalent).
1–2 years’ experience in steam/boiler operation or mechanical maintenance preferred.
Boiler operation certificate (if required by local laws) will be an added advantage.
Physically fit to handle hot and heavy equipment.
Comfortable working in high-temperature environments.
Industrial / manufacturing setup.
May require shift work, overtime, and weekend duty based on production needs.
