The Manufacturing Store Assistant supports the daily operations of the store or warehouse by receiving, organizing, and dispatching materials, tools, and equipment used in the manufacturing process. This role ensures that inventory records are accurate, stock is maintained at optimal levels, and all materials are stored and handled safely.
Receive incoming raw materials, components, and supplies and verify their quality and quantity against delivery notes.
Label and store materials appropriately in designated locations.
Issue materials and tools to production as per job orders or requisitions.
Maintain accurate stock records using inventory software or ERP systems.
Perform regular stock checks and assist in monthly/quarterly/yearly inventory audits.
Ensure proper housekeeping and cleanliness in the store area.
Report damaged, expired, or missing stock to the Store Manager immediately.
Assist with stock transfers, material returns, and scrap management.
Comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations and policies.
Support in maintaining Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and other documentation as required
