About Us:
Ink & Oak is an upcoming independent bookstore located in HSR Layout, Bangalore. We aim to build a warm and inviting space for book lovers, promoting a culture of reading, discovery, and community.

Position Overview:
We are looking for friendly, enthusiastic, and responsible Sales Associates to be part of our launch team. You will be the face of Ink & Oak, helping customers discover new reads, maintaining the store environment, and assisting in daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers with recommendations and queries

• Handle billing, returns, and daily cash/register management

• Organize and restock bookshelves, displays, and store inventory

• Maintain a clean, welcoming, and well-organized space

• Support during book readings, author events, and other store activities

• Provide feedback on book popularity and customer preferences

• Ensure excellent customer service and engagement

Requirements:

• Good command over English (spoken & reading) is essential

• Spoken Kannada is a plus, but not mandatory

• Passion for books and reading culture

• Prior retail or bookstore experience is an advantage

• Friendly, approachable, and able to work in a team

• Basic computer & billing system knowledge preferred

Timings:
Full-time (Weekends and holidays may be working days, with weekly offs on rotation)
