The HR Business Partner for Warehouse Operations is responsible for driving HR strategies, managing workforce operations, and overseeing payroll activities to ensure compliance, accuracy, and timely disbursement. This role bridges HR policies with warehouse operational needs, ensuring an engaged, productive, and compliant workforce.
Partner with warehouse managers to forecast manpower needs.
Manage end-to-end recruitment for warehouse staff (blue-collar and supervisory roles).
Conduct onboarding and induction programs.
Manage payroll processing for warehouse employees, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.
Verify attendance records, overtime, and leave data before payroll cut-off.
Handle salary reconciliations, arrears, and full & final settlements.
Ensure compliance with statutory deductions (PF, ESI, PT, LWF, Income Tax).
Coordinate with finance and payroll vendors for smooth operations.
Act as the primary HR contact for employee queries, grievances, and conflict resolution.
Conduct investigations and recommend corrective actions where needed.
Promote a positive work culture and employee engagement initiatives.
Ensure adherence to labor laws, warehouse safety standards, and company HR policies.
Maintain employee records in compliance with legal requirements.
Support audits related to payroll and statutory compliance.
Facilitate goal-setting and performance reviews.
Work with managers to identify training needs and coordinate development programs.
Track training completion and effectiveness.
Prepare and maintain HR dashboards (payroll summaries, attrition, absenteeism, overtime).
Provide actionable insights to improve workforce cost efficiency.
Strong knowledge of payroll systems, wage calculations, and statutory compliance.
Familiarity with warehouse operations and blue-collar workforce management.
Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in HRIS tools, payroll software, and MS Excel.
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Commerce, or related field (MBA/PGDM preferred).
1–6 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in payroll and warehouse/logistics.
Experience managing large blue-collar workforces is highly desirable.
