The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for supervising housekeeping staff, ensuring cleanliness, hygiene, and upkeep of assigned areas. The role involves scheduling, training, and monitoring staff to maintain high standards of housekeeping services in compliance with company policies and client requirements.
Supervise daily housekeeping operations and staff performance.
Assign duties and responsibilities to housekeeping staff.
Inspect assigned areas regularly to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met.
Maintain housekeeping supplies and inventory, and raise requisitions when required.
Train and guide staff on cleaning procedures, safety, and equipment handling.
Address staff or guest/client complaints and resolve them promptly.
Ensure compliance with health, hygiene, and safety standards.
Prepare daily/weekly reports and submit to the manager.
Coordinate with other departments (maintenance, front office, etc.) for smooth operations.
Conduct periodic deep cleaning and audits of premises.
Minimum qualification: 10+2 / Diploma (Hotel Management or Facility Management preferred).
Proven experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or similar role.
Knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
Attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle complaints effectively.
