The Patient Counsellor / Front Desk Executive is responsible for providing quality patient interaction and front-office support, ensuring a smooth admission, discharge, and counselling process. The role involves managing appointments, coordinating with medical staff, assisting in documentation, and offering patient guidance with empathy and professionalism.
Welcome and assist patients and visitors courteously.
Manage patient registration, OPD/IPD appointments, and follow-ups.
Coordinate with doctors and departments for smooth patient flow.
Handle phone calls, inquiries, and provide information regarding hospital services.
Explain hospital procedures, treatment packages, and facilities to patients.
Assist with insurance, TPA, and cashless admission procedures.
Provide emotional and informational support to patients and attendants.
Maintain confidentiality and ensure patient satisfaction throughout their visit.
Support the billing team with documentation and payments.
Verify records and assist with discharge and final billing procedures.
Ensure proper record keeping and accuracy of patient information.
Address patient feedback and escalate concerns when required.
Maintain professional appearance and behavior at all times.
Ensure a pleasant and patient-friendly environment at the front desk.
Education: Graduate in any discipline (preferred: Healthcare Management, Psychology, or Hospital Administration).
Experience: 1–3 years in hospital front office or counselling roles.
Computer Skills: Knowledge of MS Office & Hospital Management Software (HMS).
Languages: Proficiency in English and Hindi; local language preferred.
