We are seeking a skilled and dedicated DG Set Service Engineer to handle installation, maintenance, and repair of diesel generator (DG) sets. The role involves diagnosing technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime, and providing excellent service support to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, commission, and test DG sets as per company and manufacturer guidelines.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on DG sets, alternators, and control panels.

• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on engines, electrical components, and fuel systems.

• Maintain service logs, inspection reports, and job cards.

• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations during all service activities.

• Attend breakdown calls promptly and ensure quick resolution.

• Provide technical guidance to clients on DG set operation and upkeep.

• Coordinate with spare parts department for timely availability of required components.

• Keep updated with latest DG set technology and service procedures.

Requirements:

• Diploma / ITI in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).

• 2–5 years of experience in DG set installation, servicing, and maintenance.

• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, alternators, and electrical systems.

• Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams and service manuals.

• Problem-solving skills with hands-on technical expertise.

• Willingness to travel for on-site service and emergency repairs.

• Good communication and customer service skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with brands like Cummins, Kirloskar, Volvo, Eicher, Tata, etc.

• Familiarity with AMF panels, synchronization panels, and load management systems.
