Job Summary:
The Technician/Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining machinery, vehicles, or equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. The role involves performing scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic issues.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, machinery, or vehicles.
Replace or repair faulty components using hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inspections.
Collaborate with other team members and departments to minimize equipment downtime.
Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workshop or job site.
Provide feedback and suggestions to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or technical certification (vocational training preferred).
Proven experience as a mechanic, technician, or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
Good physical condition and stamina; ability to lift heavy equipment and parts.
Basic computer skills for recordkeeping and diagnostics.
Preferred Skills:
Certification from recognized technical institutions (ASE, HVAC, etc.).
Experience with specific machinery or systems (e.g., diesel engines, HVAC systems, CNC machines).
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
