The Woodworking Machine Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining woodworking machines such as Auto Computer Cut-off Saw, Multi Ripsaw, Moulder-6, Pallet Plank Angle Cutting Machine, Single Spindle Moulder, Arbor Saw, Suction System, and Compressors. The role ensures safe machine operation, accurate cutting/moulding, quality output, and timely completion of production targets.
Operate woodworking machines (cutting, moulding, sawing, and finishing equipment) as per production requirements.
Read and interpret job orders, blueprints, or instructions for required dimensions and specifications.
Perform setup, calibration, and adjustment of machines before operations.
Ensure proper feeding of raw material (wood, planks, boards) into machines.
Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or irregularities.
Maintain product quality by conducting regular checks on dimensions, finishing, and accuracy.
Follow safety protocols and use PPE during machine operations.
Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and minor maintenance of machines.
Report breakdowns or major issues to maintenance/engineering team promptly.
Maintain records of daily output, downtime, and scrap/rework.
Assist in loading/unloading of wood materials and finished products.
Support continuous improvement, reducing waste, and optimizing efficiency.
